Dr. Irfan Khan, MBBS, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Irfan Khan is a respirologist and sleep specialist, and was the first respirologist in North Bay. He holds MBBS, MD and FRCPC.
He trained in medicine at D. Y. Patil Medical College and completed a respirology residency at Grant Medical College, both in India, followed by internal medicine and a respirology fellowship at the University of Toronto.
His clinical interests are severe asthma and the management of COPD. Consultations are in English.

General respiratory consultations
Assessment of a breathing problem raised by your referring provider.
Asthma
Assessment and ongoing management. Severe asthma is a clinical interest of Dr. Khan.
COPD
Assessment and management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Persistent cough
Review of a cough that has not settled.
Breathlessness
Assessment of shortness of breath.
Abnormal lung imaging
Review of a finding on imaging arranged by another provider.
Tests and investigations
Will I have tests at the office?
No. Tests are not performed at the Algonquin Avenue office. When an investigation is needed, the office arranges it and confirms the location with you.

How do I get an appointment?
- Ask your family physician, nurse practitioner or specialist to fax a referral to the clinic.
- The office contacts you once the referral has been reviewed.
- Bring your health card and a list of your current medications.
